MessItUp is an University project to discourage food wastage and enable hostellers to clearly express opinions on food quality. It is currently being developed as a mobile app (Android supported currently).

The modules proposed to be implemented include:

  1. Viewing of the mess food menu - and learn about the values of each item
  2. Inputting the opinion of whether an individual will be visiting the mess at a particular time of the day
  3. Inputting feedback on food quality by an individual for a particular time of the day
  4. Data-driven analytics to provide real-time recommendation on when to visit mess depending upon crowd
  5. Data-driven seat allocation to provide tentative suggestions on taking up seats in order to reduce chaos and confusion
